The second weekend in March we gather 200 people for workshops, dances, jamming, and fun a few hours north of Minneapolis\/St. Paul. The fun includes skiing on 53K of groomed trails at&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.maplelag.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Maplelag<\/a>, a cross-country ski resort that&#8217;s been home to MooseJaw for many years. The setting is beautiful; we have use of the entire lodge. The huge hot tub is a hit with worn-out dancers and every year a few brave souls jump in the lake (through a hole cut in the ice) after relaxing in the sauna. The emphasis is on old-time music and square dancing, but we like to mix it up, too. In addition to a great old-time band and experienced caller, every year a second band performs for dances and we offer related workshops.
