Two local cloggers, Teresa Neby Lind and JoAnna Lund, have some more clogging instruction planned for this year! See below for more details, and fill out this form to get weather updates on the workshops and registration info (coming out later this summer) for fall classes.

First, save the dates for Fall 2025 Appalachian clogging classes on Tuesday evenings, 9/30/25-11/18/25 at All Saints Episcopal Mission in South Minneapolis! We plan to offer beginner and intermediate clogging classes. The intermediate course will offer different content from the one we led this past spring, so it would be appropriate for students of that class, as well as beginner clogging students who are ready for the next challenge! More info to come.

Second, in case you can’t wait, want to get a head start, or just want to clog, we are offering three informal “Traveling step-a-tune” clogging workshops at area parks this summer. Here the details:

  • All workshops are 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. with 45 minutes beginner instruction, then 45 minutes instruction for those who’ve done some clogging before. All are welcome to come for any part or the entirety of the instruction. Dates and Locations:
    • Tuesday, June 24th: Newell Park (900 N. Fairview Avenue, Saint Paul. Parking is in the lot off of Pierce Butler Drive and Fairview. Meet at the Pavilion.)
    • Thursday, July 17th: Powderhorn Park (south side, near 35th St and 12th Ave S, Mpls)
    • Tuesday, Aug 19: Wabun Picnic Area, near Shelter D (4655 46th Ave S, Mpls)
  • Sliding scale/pay as you can (suggested $5-$15)
  • Bring your own dancing board, or if you don’t have one, we’ll have some on hand
  • We recommend shoes with a hard, smooth sole (and/or anything that’s slippery!) and a small heel and that will stay on your feet. No taps. please.
  • The workshops are weather permitting; we’ll send out a reminder the week before and will also send emails closer to the workshops if the weather looks iffy.
  • All workshops will have live music!
  • Your instructors/musicians are JoAnna Lund, a current Wild Goose Chase Clogger (WGCC) and Teresa Neby Lind, a former WGCC. Please see the bottom of the email for more information on the instructors.

Thank you for your interest in learning this energetic and FUN Appalachian tradition! Again, please fill out this form to receive weather updates on the workshops and for fall class registration.

About the instructors:

JoAnna Lund has been clogging around the Twin Cities for almost 15 years. For several years, she clogged in a group she founded with two friends called Pomp & CircumStomp and was on the shoes for the local bluegrass band Farmers Union. For the last 3.5 years, she has been dancing with the local clogging institution the Wild Goose Chase Cloggers, with whom she has been performing and leading clogging workshops around the Midwest.

Teresa Neby Lind has been joyously clogging on stages, dance floors and step-a-tunes for over 35 years. She performed with the Wild Goose Chase Cloggers for nearly a decade and GIRL GERMS Percussive Dance for eight years, and through classes, workshops and informal instruction has introduced hundreds to the fun of dancing to old time fiddle music.
